Dear Maintainer,

backing up SMB volumes with amanda on Debian/Devuan hasn't been working for quite some time.
It seems that a bug regarding a behaviour change in smbclient breaking Amanda backups has been
filed on the Debian bug tracker in 2016, but nothing came from that since it was the wrong
package to look at:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=821801

From the Amanda release notes, the problem should have been solved in Amanda 3.4.2:
http://wiki.zmanda.com/index.php/3.4_features#3.4.2 - "amsamba - fix for newer samba version"

..so Upgrading the Amanda package to a version past that release should provide a solution.

Regards,

A. Bochmann
