I had this issue several times before and then = I discover on other machine (I help managing IT stuff on a school) that iss= ue was not Devuan related because it works perfetly on it. I suppose it was= related to a particular snapshot of Devuan that had this issue. I installed the gui version (hplip-gui) but when I launch the program, = it fails too. With this bug I can't use any Hp printer. If I try to add it by cups interf= ace or system-config-printer utility the system does not find any Hp printe= r.
