I don't use sshguard myself, however trying it in a VM, the following gets it to start from the initscript, at least. In /etc/sshguard/sshguard.conf add # Space-separated list of log files to monitor. (optional, no default) #FILES="/var/log/auth.log" Are you able to test if that is sufficient for a fix? Thanks Mark
