Package: debootstrap
Version: 1.0.114+devuan2
Severity: normal

Hi,

I just tried to debootstrap Debian jessie for a VM, but the jessie script
seems to override the keyring selection, so it attempts to validate against
the Devuan keyring and fails.

This cannot even be overridden with the --keyring option.

Simon,

Thanks for this.

I assume this is Devuan jessie, not Debian jessie?

Could you give me the full debootstrap commandline you
are using. I have just successfully debootstrapped both plain and
pbuilder Devuan jessie chroots with debootstrap 1.0.114+devuan2.
Validating against devuan-keyring 2017.10.03.

 debootstrap jesse jessie-chroot/

Works for me.

Thanks

Mark

Apologies, I see Debian jessie in the title now.

I will try to reproduce again.

Simon,

I have just successfully debootstrapped Debian jessie on beowulf with this
command:

 debootstrap --exclude=devuan-keyring,devuan-baseconf \
 --keyring=/etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/debian-archive-jessie-automatic.gpg jessie \
 jessie/ http://ftp.uk.debian.org/debian

Does it work for you?

Mark
